Nothing big here. Just a quick thought, is all.
I like fandoms that are abuzz with hype and theories and speculation. I'm adapted to weird release schedules and bizarro pacing. I don't mind a certain level of background drama and insanity in my fandom. And I don't piece together plot myself, but I really like the feeling of a greater plot moving under the surface of things, and I like watching other people speculate. This is all because of Homestuck.
Change Your Mind is not a complete ending. Some people say it feels rushed. It is enough of a series finale to technically exist as a series finale, but several very prominent plot threads are not wrapped up - most notably, several character arcs do not have clear conclusions. In other words, it is like Homestuck's ending.
There's obviously still a movie coming, and some people have claimed that there's already approval for another season (which I haven't seen solid incontrovertible confirmation for yet, apparently the main source for the renewal is a comment reply on the Cartoon Network instagram), but... I'm okay with it being a sort of ending. Because of Homestuck.
